分离的同位语从句

同位语从句通常位于先行词之后，如: There is some possibility that he may be late. (他可能迟到。)。但有时修饰主语的同位语从句会被移到谓语后，这样做是为了避免主语读起来太长。下面是一些例子。
Evidence has been obtained that this is wrong. 有证据证明这是错误的。(修饰evidence 的同位语从句后移)
The thought came to him that maybe the enemy had fled the city. 他突然想到也许敌人已经逃离城市。(修饰the thought 的同位语从句后移)
A few years ago the belief became general that orange juice and milk should never be drunk at the same meal. 几年前人们普遍相信橙汁与牛奶绝不能在一起食用。(修饰 the belief 的同位语从句后移)
