英语大于、多于、超过表达方法

英语有很多表示“大于、多于、超过”的方法。

1) more than 是一个很常用来表达“多于，超过”的词。
He'd been in prison for more than five years. 他已经坐了五年多的监牢。
The distance between the two places is more than 3,500 kilometers. 两地间的距离超过3500公里。

2) 动词 exceed, top 也可以表达“多于，超过”。
Cars must not exceed thirty miles an hour in certain areas. 在某些区域车速不能超过每小时30英里。
The number admitted in this concert can not exceed 200. 这次音乐会容纳的人数不能超过200。
When winds top 73 miles an hour in a tropical storm, it is known as a hurricane. 当热带风暴时速超过每小时73英里时，就称为飓风。

3) in excess of
Luggage in excess of 100 kg will be charged extra. 超过100公斤的行李要额外收费.

4) 介词above, over也可用来表示“多于，超过”的意思

5) go above, go beyond
The value won’t go above the upper limit set by the program 数值不会超过程序设置的最上限。

6) or more 或...以上
Users may choose one or more objects first. 用户可先选择一或多个对象。
The process combines two or more files into one. 这个程序将两个或更多的文件合并成一个。
