冠词的位置

1. 不定冠词的位置
一般情况下，不定冠词a/an位于名词和名词的其他修饰语之前。但有如下特殊情况：

1) a/an 通常位于such, what, many, half 之后。
I have never seen such an animal. 我从未见过这样的动物。
Many a man is fit for the job. 很多人适合该工作。
What a good doctor he is! 他是一个多么好的医生呀!
Her house is half a mile down the road. 她的房子位于沿此路往前走半英里的地方。

2) 当名词前的形容词被副词as, so, too 修饰时，不定冠词应放在形容词之后。
It is as pleasant a day as I have ever spent. 这是我度过的最愉快的一天。
so short a time 时间太短
too long a distance 距离太长

3) quite, rather 修饰名词时，冠词通常放其后。如:
She is quite a good teacher. 她是一个相当好的老师。
quite a lot 相当多
It seems rather a good idea. 这似乎是个相当不错的主意。

但是当名词前有其他形容词时，不定冠词放其前后均可。如:
a rather/quite good suggestion相当好的建议
rather/quite a good suggestion相当好的建议
rather/quite good a suggestion 相当好的建议

2．定冠词的位置
定冠词通常位于名词和其他名词修饰语之前，但放在all, both, double, half, twice, three times 等词之后。
All the students in the class went out. 班里的所有学生都出去了。
